The United Nations office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) recently published a Global Humanitarian Response Plan dealing with the Covid-19 epidemic from April to December 2020.
The Report identifies priority regions and countries which require the greatest financial and logistical support due to Covid-19 and provides an in-depth impact assessment on humanitarian needs for the world’s most vulnerable citizens.
A number of strategic priorities including maintaining food security in deprived areas, ensuring continued access to education for impoverished children and protecting vulnerable groups such as asylum seekers and those with disabilities are outlined in the Report.
