IN-PREP Project held its 2nd full-scale exercise (FSX) in Genova and Savona, Italy on 28 October 2020. This was the penultimate full-scale exercise of the IN-PREP Project and the first to be carried out remotely due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The exercise was originally scheduled to take place in March 2020 but was delayed due to the Coronavirus epidemic. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the 2nd FSX was a uniquely virtual exercise, combining both real and simulated actors in a complex training scenario.
For those who were unable to attend the 2nd FSX virtually, the IN-PREP Project had produced a video of the day’s events which can be found above.
The 2nd FSX was the fifth (and penultimate) exercise of the IN-PREP Project, following previous exercises in Spoleto and Savona, Italy, Kampen, the Netherlands and Belfast, Northern Ireland.
